You have great ideas and want to prove your creativity? You want to be part of an entrepreneurial endeavor and have just waited for the right moment?

Now is your time. This year the Austrian Federal Chancellery ("Bundeskanzleramt"), the Department of Information Systems & Operations, and the Institute of Strategy, Technology, and Organization will launch an "App & Ideation Competition". This competition is an open call for both, innovative mobile applications and creative ideas that could be realized by using Open Data.

In advance the Department of Information Systems & Operations, and the Institute of Strategy, Technology, and Organization offer an preparation workshop on Open Data and Innovation on June 12th 2015 at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Preliminary program

• 9-10 am : Welcome session and introduction to Open Data and Open Innovation


• 10-12 am: Two parallel workshops:
  1. Data workshop: How to deal with Open Data?
  2. Creativity workshop: How to get great ideas?
• 1-2 pm: Development of ideas for the Austrian-wide "App & Ideation Competition"
